It is the usual habit of everyone to wear clothes as per their wish. But still there are some countries that had strict rules in the dress code of women. It is not wise to have such rules in this era.
A recent incident that turns everyone on Sudan country is that a woman jailed for wearing trousers.
Lubna Hussein was convicted and ordered her to pay 40 lashes or a month in jail. But Hussein was bold enough to face the jail instead of paying the money. But she was freed after Journalists union paid the convicted amount on her behalf.
She was not happy to come out instead she wants to challenge laws legitimacy. She liked to fight for other women who were still in prison. She told that she wore respectable and decent clothing. UN human rights office condemned the conviction stating that it violates international law. Some told that she was the first to challenge such treatment.
There might be also political pressure behind this release in order to end the case. The other reason behind her release was that she was an UN employee at the time of her arrest. Hussein decided to appeal against this.
Many commented that the Sudan’s regulations were vague. It is better to have the law that suits the present trend.
