Cancer is defined as the growth of extra cells in the body to form a mass of tissue, which is also known as tumor. Oral cancer gets developed in the mouth and the nearby surrounding parts. It develops in the oral cavity mostly in the tongue or below the tongue. Most of the oral cancers will cover the surfaces of the tongue, mouth and lips. They also spread to other parts of the body like neck and lungs. Some of the symptoms of oral cancer are the patches inside your mouth and also on your lips, bleeding in the parts of mouth, loose teeth, sore that won’t heal in your mouth or lips, difficulty in swallowing and a lump in your neck. If you have any of these symptoms then go for an oral check up to avoid any serious problems. When they have any concerns over the test, they will go for Biopsy. Biopsy is nothing but removing tissues to look for the cancer cells, this gives sure result for the confirmation of cancer cells. Depending on the present stage of cancer, doctors will carry out the treatment.
